The estimated total participation time is 10 hours over the course of 4 weeks.
How is the estimated 10 hours of participation to complete the study distributed?
This includes an online health history questionnaire, a daily headache diary (which should take about 5 minutes each evening) and a total of 8 dietary recall interviews (2 interviews/week for 4 weeks) that will take approximately 30-45 minutes each.
Do I need to change my diet in any way to participate?
No. Actually, we encourage you to not change your diet during the study. We want to learn what you normally eat and drink!
What kinds of questions are asked during the dietary interviews?
The dietary interviews are a structured recall of what you ate and drank the day before the interview, including how much, when, and where it was consumed. You do not need to prepare for the interviews; our team is trained and uses prompts to walk you through each step and help you remember.
What happens if I have a migraine during the study?
The study is designed to collect data about and in relation to your migraine attacks. We have worked hard to design ways to collect data that will be easy for you even when you have an attack (but we always welcome new ideas if you have suggestions to make it even easier).
